10 Ways to Personalize Your Event (Beyond the Invitations!)

10 Ways to Personalize Your Event (Beyond the Invitations!)

We love designing beautiful invitation suites but one of the best ways to really elevate your wedding day, birthday party or event is to find little ways to pull that design through your entire day. From customized cocktail bars to personalized menus and printed cookies, here are 10 ways to personalize beyond the invitation!

1. The Front Of Your Bar

For Alix and Justin's garden wedding in Napa Valley (see all of their photos here!), we used a custom floral watercolor design by Ceci Johnson and infused that design into dozens of wedding day elements. The result? A totally branded, cohesive event.

2. The Menu Cards

Just as soon as guests are seated at the table, they'll look down at their place setting. That's the perfect moment to showcase your logo, brand and colors. We designed these Art Deco-themed menu cards custom to fit with the gorgeous copper tableware and chargers for Abe and Benno's wedding in Telluride, Colorado.

3. The Cocktail Lounge Area

The lounge area at your event will be one of the most photographed areas of the reception–making it the perfect place to add in your event branding or wedding day design elements. For Shelby and Jake's wedding, our custom Ceci New York-designed monogram and floral illustration was used on the mirrors. The blush and white furniture with gold accents finished off the look.

4.  The Table Numbers

From wedding ceremonies to galas with sponsors and speakers, you'll want to ensure that everyone finds their seat with table markers. Let your branding and design be your guide here and have your table numbers customized like we did for this style shoot in Jupiter, Florida.

5. The Dance Floor

For their Art Deco-themed wedding in Telluride, we designed a very modern first name initial monogram for Abe and Benno. That same monogram ended up on the dance floor at the reception!

6. All of the Signage

Your signature cocktails should be spelled out for guests on the bar–making it the perfect place to add in your event branding. In keeping with their invitation design, we made up these sweet cocktail hour menus for Alix and Justin's wedding day.

7.  The Wedding Favors

If you're an animal lover, consider honoring your favorite pet on the wedding favors. You could donate to your favorite animal shelter in honor of you guests' presence and do what Alix and Justin did: we created a custom illustration of their dog so that it could be printed onto wedding favor cookies.

8. The Useful Takeaways

Don't miss the chance to customize those useful takeaways! Whether you're having a gala at a fabulous space in the mountains of Colorado and are gifting beautiful shawls or hosting a playful birthday party in your own backyard and handing out cute beach towels, a simple branded tag is a great way to elevate your event.

9. The Welcome Bags

Just as soon as guests or attendees arrive to their rooms, why not greet the with a custom-designed welcome bag full of localized treats, a map and all the essentials? They'll feel totally taken care of! We loved designing all of the paper elements for this wedding welcome bag for Whitney and Wilson's wedding in Sea Island, Georgia.

10. The Dessert or Candy Bar

A simple way to dress up your candy bar is to wrap the vessels with branded cards like the ones we did for Mae's backyard summertime birthday party.
