An English Tea Garden Inspired Floral Watercolor Invitation

#CeciBride Alix had visions of lush flowers, a rainbow of bright pastel colors, and an elegant nature filled wedding. When we heard about her overgrown English tea garden inspiration, we couldn’t wait to fill the invitation suite with all of her favorite beautiful florals and classically charming adornments.

The couple’s wedding was characterized by a light green color that painted the landscape of their rich Napa Valley venue. We were transfixed by this green hue and chose to bring it to the center of the invitation. We then mirrored the complementing colors of various flowers that sprinkled the scene in cascading florals throughout each piece. Keeping with tradition, we chose a white background to feature these finishes and carried a calming simplicity through the text and font.

On the lining of the envelope, we featured a light pink watercolor scene with soft wisteria and hints of yellow dahlias. The invitation card revealed an even larger array of breathtaking florals that added roses, peonies, and chrysanthemums to the mix. Accompanying weekend itinerary cards, reply cards, and a map card of the Napa vineyards were bordered with the same elegant details and bright blooms. The serene, natural tone of this invitation suite was uniquely paired with whimsical flourishes to create a breathtakingly romantic design for this elevated garden wedding.
