A Glamorous Black Tie Invitation Box For A Masquerade Birthday Party

Any black-tie event calls for an invitation that sets a captivating tone for the stylish celebration to come. That’s why we were extremely focused on creating a suite that was elegantly crafted with a glamorous shine for Merle’s 18th birthday party in Germany. Inspired by the grand scenes of historic masquerade balls in 18th century France and Italy, luxurious style and ornate patterning was a must. Of course, the modern flair of this young client allowed us to add lots of playful elements to our design. We couldn’t be more excited to reveal to you how we brought our unique visions into reality with creative twists.

We wanted this invitation to be something that made guests feel like they were receiving their own gift just by opening it. Our couture concepts presentation presented several options for Merle that explored canvases ranging from a card with the mask artwork and baroque designs, to physical masks with rhinestones and feathers. We choose a sleek black box with a shimmer belly band adorned with bordering and classic calligraphy. When opened, guests saw gold tissue paper finished with a black blind embossed sticker featuring her custom monogram. Underneath sat the invitation in black and gold, with event details printed respectively on either side of the card in English and German. We made sure to incorporate a whimsical gold mask into the design to highlight the masquerade theme and feature just a hint of all of the exciting surprises this party included.
