An Alexander McQueen and Chanel Inspired Invitation Suite

An Alexander McQueen and Chanel Inspired Invitation Suite

Inspired by the worlds of icons Alexander McQueen and Chanel, Ceci New York was honored to design custom table top stationery and invitation suite for the always-fabulous Jordan Payne Events. Taking center stage is the watercolor hand-painted by Ceci New York Founder + Creative Director, Ceci Johnson inspired by the floral linen by Nüage Designs that was the main feature on the tables. We went for drama and elegance and of course a dash of unique.

Design Notes from Event Planner Jordan Payne: "My vision was to design and implement how watercolor and fashion give us life in design!

Watercolor is truly a beautiful, wondrous process and implementing a table around these elements provides a unique and over the top look.

Chanel is more feminine so it flows with the beauty of watercolor and McQueen is a designer with an 'avant' and 'dark' appeal so the black butterflies brought in this dramatic element while still not compromising any beauty."

DESIGN DETAILS: Ceci Couture wedding invitation suite custom printed with 1 color of letterpress and foil stamping on thick pearl white paper stock. The invitation's edge featured a unique die-cut shape and the bride and groom's first names were laser-cut out for more avant-garde detailing. The Invitation mailed in a custom watercolor-lined gold box complete with a full-color printed guest address label. The rest of the suite and tabletop items were digitally printed on cover stock and featured the unique shape of the invitation incorporated into the design.
