It's no secret that Ceci Johnson always goes above and beyond for her kid's birthdays. Known for her artistic flair, she concepts and executes a theme near and dear to her children around their birthdays. The best place to start? Invitations, of course! After all, she is the expert.
When it came to Elle's seventh birthday this year, Ceci and our design team pulled out all the stops. The theme of the party was a Nutcracker Ballet Birthday (think sugar plum fairy meets winter wonderland).
Her invitation design is a boxed invitation with a pastel color palette mainly consisting of blues and pinks. The outside view of the box features a watercolor design of a nutcracker placed within a wreath full of sweets that tie nicely together at the bottom with a pair of perfectly pink ballet shoes. The outer edges display a vignette of snow flurries, setting the tone for the winter wonderland awaiting the recipient inside.
Untie the satin bow, and you're presented with a pop-up ballerina surrounded by the land of sweets, full of cupcakes, lollipops, candy canes, and evergreen trees. Look below into the box, and you'll discover all the essential details for the event, like the pastel ballet dress code (crucial!). The elegant script text is nicely placed within a wreath-like design, with sweets and ballerinas placed above a light pink and blue wash.
