A Romantic Watercolor Wedding in Sea Island, Georgia

Whitney grew up vacationing with her family in Sea Island every year. So when it came to her wedding venue, The Cloister at Sea Island was a natural choice. Sea Island is the perfect mix of southern charm and oceanside luxury and the foyer at The Cloister at Sea Island is particularly beautiful–all marble in a Mediterranean style. With such a gorgeous venue, we had a ton of inspiration for Whitney and Alix's wedding invitation suite. To complement the venue and natural surroundings, we juxtaposed the bright, natural, springtime flowers with a soft blue hue. We started with a custom water color design by Ceci Johnson. We then used that design to frame the invitation and added a blind letterpress (meaning letterpressed without the ink!) to give it lots of texture and dimension. Pretty floral vintage-style stamps, calligraphy and a soft blue seal finished off the suite.
