We consider ourselves so lucky to have the opportunity to celebrate our client’s special moments through every stage in their lives. Sometimes, we are even lucky enough to be a part of multiple stages along their journeys. After joining the Ceci family by becoming a #CeciBride, stylist and fashion designer Alex Toccin returned to our design team in hopes that we could bring our beautiful touch to the baby announcement of her daughter, Liv. Inspired by a signature Gucci print featuring a chinoiserie scene, we decided to take this Chinese and East Asian art and soften its look with a feminine flair. We focused on highlighting the floral shapes within these patterns and coloring the details with light pink, blush tones. Each flower and leaf that adorned this detailed custom print was hand-drawn by Ceci Johnson then used as the focal point in the announcement envelope’s liner.
Inside of the envelope, a clean white card featured Liv’s name and birth details in pink letterpress with matching pink-tinted edges. Around each card was a silk bow in a multitude of pink and cream shades. Each birth announcement was complemented by a different colored ribbon to diversify the look and add more dimension to the suite as a whole. The couple fell in love with the elegant detailing of the birth announcement so much that they wanted us to bring the print into their home. This special pattern was incorporated into Liv’s nursery with custom printed pillows and bows around her crib. Knowing how much of an eye for design this couple has as fashion stylists, we were honored to be a part of making this room a beautiful home for their child. Our finishes can be applied in so many ways and we were happy to once more bring style to Alex and Michael's growing family.
