A Tropical Watercolor Deco Glam Invitation Inspired by The Faena Hotel

Throughout the years, it has been such a treat to celebrate a handful of our fellow creatives within the events industry at their own personal events. Our team was especially excited to design for partner and Creative Director of NuageDesigns, Pablo Oliveria, who had been a part of the Ceci family long before becoming a #CeciGroom. Since this event was colored in vibrant hues like pink and bright green for the ceremony, then rich jewel tones like scarlet red and teal at the reception, our team got creative in blending the relaxing and elevated feels that the event and venue evoked.

As soon as you step foot into the Faena Hotel, your eyes are drawn to an amazingly rich mural filled with lush greenery, a fountain, peacocks, leopards, and even hearts and skulls; all framed in luxe gold on a marble wall.To capture this opulent artistry and bring in the couple’s deco theme with playful tropical touches, we created our own take on the mural in a botanical modern watercolor with clean lines and bold graphics. Inside of an ivory envelope with deep teal lettering, a printed liner featured brilliant palms, hibiscus, coral, and pink flamingos that spoke to the unique history and style of Miami. Gold foil deco detailing mirrored the shine from the coral in the center of the liner. This watercolor artwork then carried over to the itinerary card and invitation where it painted the border around the couple’s custom logo in a gold foil stamped Gatsby font. The bright flowers within this design highlighted the tropical nature of the wedding and brought playful life to the event details. The deep teal that sat beneath the graphics set a perfectly glam tone for the deco flourishes that finished the invitation suite.
