Tropical Deco Wedding At The Retro Faena Hotel In Miami, Florida

Many of the venues that our clients choose for their celebrations are grand sources of inspiration. In the case of our dear friend and partner, Creative Director for Nuage Designs, and #CeciGroom Pablo Oliviera, art within the hotel was just as important to his invitation suite as the venue itself. Held at a new Miami hotspot, The Faena Hotel, every square inch of this retro-glam boutique space is filled with eye-catching art. Complete with Damien Hirst’s Golden Mammoth on display at the center of the property, the open pool area welcomed guests to visit and connect alongside the ocean. To play off of the rich colors of the vibrant landscape and artwork that was showcased within it, we had so much to play with for every element of this tropical deco invitation suite.

The intimate ceremony was held in a private backyard space with lush greenery and florals surrounding the pool. Crisp white chairs with deco lines flanked the altar and several musicians played stringed instruments while the couple exchanged vows. When walking down the aisle, guests cheered the newlyweds on by playing their tambourines which were placed in each seat. The couple danced down the aisle to 'You're My Sweetheart', which was also the saying that was written on guest's tambourines!

At the black-tie evening reception, deep red roses and multi-toned pink floral arrangements decorated the long teal tables with gold finishes. Our custom menus and table numbers adorned the event with our design inspired by the mural artwork in the entrance of the hotel. A large ivy-covered backdrop behind the pool featured the couple's custom logo in a retro neon sign. As a centerpiece for the entire night, an art deco-inspired, four-tiered cake put guests in awe. From the bold colors to artistic flair and nods to Alan Faena's hotelier creativity through our tropical deco designs, this Miami wedding was as special as it gets.
