For Elle’s first birthday I was so excited to throw my very first party for my baby girl. I wanted to bring a soft color scheme and sweet, girly details to the designs so that the event would feel special. I hand painted the letters that featured Elle’s name in blended pink tones, from medium blush to pastel pink. Each letter was spaced from the next and surrounded in its own floral arrangement. I created ethereal pink watercolor flowers with mixed greenery for a nature inspired design that printed the invitation, personalized stationery, wrapping paper, and party banner.
At the event, we brought in dozens of pink balloons that sprinkled our home like confetti. On the main gift and dessert table, I hung Elle’s name in cards detailed with the same watercolor florals on a bubblegum pink satin ribbon. Balloons and fresh white hydrangeas with a hint of green framed the charming pink cake by Nine Cakes that was complete with gold finishes and a lifesize blooming sugar peony. On top of the gifts laid Elle’s custom felt crown and shimmery fairy wand from Pottery Barn Kids. Our family and loved ones had a great time celebrating our little princess Elle with all of her girly, pretty in pink party details.
