Inspired by the bohemian feel of natural artistry with a luxe spin, #CeciBride Sarah and Corey wed at The William Aiken House, a southern mansion tucked away in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. This weekend-long celebration gave guests the chance to escape into the relaxing landscape of this historically rich, charming city, beginning with a brunch on the Friday before the wedding. Food and drinks were served in the open air on the wrap-around porch of the classic white wood home. A singular long table stretched down the way, making everyone feel like family. A simple tablecloth with thin navy geometric patterning was contrasted with hot pink and purple floral arrangements. These colors were reflected in our abstract magenta menus finished with the couple’s custom monogram and gold hand calligraphy.
At the ceremony, light pink and orange florals carried into the bouquets, boutonnieres and even the collar of the couple’s pup who sat beside the groom wearing lush greenery. Our dual purpose light blue watercolor programs sat at each seat, made from four separate panels that were crafted to spread out and reveal details, while also creating a handheld fan. Inside the venue, the custom ketubah colored with teal shades was signed before Sarah's father walked her down the aisle in a feminine, lace gown with a long, graceful train. As guests transitioned toward the reception, they picked up our gold hand-calligraphed, dip dyed escort envelopes; each created from a multi-step dip dye process that made every envelope unique. On the inside, a coordinating teal shaded card led guests to their tables.
Upon reaching their tables, guests found numbered signs that included romantic quotes in the spirit of the newlyweds. Our menu booklets were printed with a marbled watercolor wash of blue hues with the couple’s custom monogram in gold foil. Teal hand calligraphy on the covers functioned as the place cards for each guest. Glass and gold finishes gave a sparkling finish to the natural toned decor and designs. The details throughout this event created a bright, ethereal feel that left guests wishing their getaway wasn’t just a wedding weekend.
